From September 19th to 21st,  LW2019–the 7th Aluminum Processing Technology (International) Forum and Exhibition held by LW Aluminum Processing Technology Center was held in Guangzhou. Viser Technology is co - organizer and publish thematic special issues.  More than 400 experts, scholars and technicians from China's aluminum processing field, related universities, research institutes and overseas enterprises gathered together to review the brilliant achievements and technological progress made by China's nonferrous metal industry, especially in the aluminum processing field since the founding of New China in the past 70 years, and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the current situation, opportunities and challenges faced by China's aluminum processing industry.

A special opening ceremony

Wang Zitao, founder of LW Forum Platform, delivered an opening speech. Kang Yi, the old leader of China's nonferrous metals industry, Huang Chongqi, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Wen Jun, vice president of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association attended the opening ceremony of the forum and gave speeches.

Wang Zitao, who is 80 years old this year, said in his opening speech that LW Forum Platform was a platform for technical friends built in his own name in January, 2000 after he retired, in order not to leave the aluminum industry and extend his "aluminum age". He said, "LW" is a combination of the Chinese Pinyin of aluminum and the initials of English World, which means "China and the world will jointly exhibit the grand plan of aluminum". Since its establishment, LW Forum has received strong support from colleagues in the aluminum industry. It is held once every three years, and 20 years have passed, so far it has been the seventh session. In the past 20 years, LW Forum has adhered to the tenet of "hosting public welfare, popularization of authors, and technical communication", exchanged technological innovations, discussed the development of the industry, and played a positive role in the progress of enterprises and industries.

In Kang Yi's speech, he reviewed the brilliant achievements made by the nonferrous metal industry in the past 70 years since the founding of New China, and explained the development trend, challenges and opportunities of China's nonferrous metal industry with detailed data and unique insights. He said that China is already a big producer and consumer of non-ferrous metals in the world, and many fields have been at the forefront of the world. However, compared with some advanced countries, there is still a big gap in many aspects. Non-ferrous metal industry enterprises should seize the opportunity of breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and 5G technology, strengthen technological innovation, and reach a higher level.

At the opening ceremony of the forum, Literature Army gave a speech entitled "Causes and Countermeasures of International Trade Friction in China's Aluminum Industry". He said, after the rapid development since the reform and opening up, China's aluminum processing industry has made great progress in all fields. Whether it's extruded materials or sheet and foil, the technology, process, capacity and output are at the forefront of the world. The rapid development of aluminum industry and the domestic market situation of oversupply provide the necessary material premise for China's aluminum export. The improvement of the international competitiveness of aluminum processing enterprises and the increasingly fine international division of labor have provided sufficient market conditions for China's aluminum export. Under this global market condition, international trade friction has become an inevitable phenomenon in the market economy. In recent years, the anti-dumping and international trade remedy cases encountered by China's aluminum industry have risen rapidly, and their new features and trends should be paid enough attention by industries and enterprises. He said that the current situation and causes of international trade friction in the aluminum industry are mainly due to the low threshold for filing a case, almost all kinds of aluminum processed products will be involved, and various anti-dumping and trade remedy methods are constantly emerging. Therefore, on the one hand, industrial enterprises should strengthen technological innovation and increase the added value of products; On the other hand, it is necessary to open up new application fields and continuously expand the application of aluminum. In recent years, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association has done a lot of work in expanding the application field of aluminum, and achieved remarkable results. It should be full of confidence in the international trade friction of aluminum industry.

During the two-day forum exchange, experts and scholars from home and abroad took the stage one after another to share and have in-depth exchanges on the production and application of aluminum materials, as well as relegation recycling and surface treatment. On the podium, there are both white-haired elderly people and vigorous young people. Their staggered figures on the stage, whispering and communicating under the stage, are particularly harmonious and have a unique visual impact. After two days of full communication and discussion, the experts and scholars at the meeting reached three points of consensus: a trend-the space left by market competition for low-grade products is getting smaller and smaller, and the transformation and upgrading of China's aluminum processing industry and the adjustment of product structure are imperative; A key point-technical grade determines the quality grade of products and its market grade. Technological innovation is the goal that China's aluminum processing industry strives to pursue by breaking through the bottleneck of development. One Road-It is the only way for the sustainable development of China's aluminum processing industry to open up new application fields, deepen each subdivision and expand the application of aluminum.

This forum and exhibition has been sponsored by 42 enterprises, with more than 350 submissions and 281 selected collections. 75 enterprises showed their latest products and technological achievements during the forum.
